How to boost your kidney system

The kidney is an organ that basically act as filters to clean the blood. It is responsible for the removal of urea (a toxic waste product from the liver), removal of excess ions and adjustment of water content in the blood. These waste products are then eliminated in urine, via the bladder. During this filtration process, the kidney reabsorbs useful nutrients and recycle them for further use. Here, it is important for one to drink plenty of water at all times to help the kidney carry out their functions efficiently.

The following are ways in which one can boost his/ her kidney system.

  •  Reducing the intake of animal protein foods such as meat and dairy products, as these can put  a strain on the working of the kidney.
  •   Cutting down on anything alcoholic.
  •   The intake of Dandelion leaves, tea or supplements can be helpful as a diuretic to treat fluid retention and helps to prevent common kidney problems
  • Having a lot of exercise
  •  Having more relaxation
  • Drinking a lot of water
