TAKING THE EXTRA MILE OF YOUR LIFE

Living the life you have always desired, is life fulfilling. Getting to this life fulfillment is a very daunting task, which I call the extra mile task.
God Almighty, has destined each and every one to prosper in life, but it takes the extra effort to lead the pack. This world is being ruled with ideas, so if you are not dreaming, then forget to be the ruler but rather the ruled.
Matthew 5:41 reads “And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.”
God tells us with the above scripture, there is always the difference between the ordinary life and the extra ordinary life which He (God) admonishes us to take to the extra ordinary life situations.
Learning something new in life would always receive disapproval from family members, close associates, friends and the world. That should not deter you but should rather encourage you to strife to learn to do it and do it well. For with time you will get to see that, is the same people who would get to sing your success praises.

A lot of inspiration can be drawn from David, once the King of Israel. Professionally, David was a shepherd but whiles taking care of his father’s sheep on the pasture field, he used his extra time to learn how to play the harp and mastered on it. When Saul was troubled with evil spirit, he sought for David who was cunning in playing the harp in the whole of Israel.
1 Samuel 16:14-18 reads “But the spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
16:15 And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee,
16:16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is cunning player on the harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
16:17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.”
You can see that, David’s skill in playing the harp took him to the corridors of power, Saul, the King of Israel, the man David replaced as the King of Israel.
The road to attaining success or an enviable position is not as smooth and straight as you may want it but rough and rugged however the end result would take you to your destination, the fulfilled life.

This world is moving at a fast pace that is unimaginable, thanks to technology. Whichever field of endeavor you find yourself at doing, upgrade on it. Be it teaching, fixing of cars, hairdressing etc. or use your extra time to learn something new from your profession for it will pay off tomorrow.
